Egypt enjoys hot and sunny weather for most of the year. Summers are warm and clouds are few and far between. Occasionally, a light breeze blowing in from the Red Sea brings some relief from the heat.
The best time to visit is during the period from March to November. Even in winter months you shouldn't feel cold, as average daily temperatures hover around 22°C.
If you are planning to visit Egypt in the summer, you should be prepared for temperatures above 35°C and high humidity. Conditions in the southern parts of the country can be even less favorable.
Egypt offers every year over 4,000 hours of sunshine.
Rainfall is very rare and occurs only in northern Egypt near the Mediterranean coast (Alexandria, Cairo and the Nile River delta region).
